Supporting and Empowering New Jersey Veterans
Supporting and Empowering New Jersey Veterans
Each Day The Number of Veterans In Crisis Increases
By 2025, the VA predicts that nearly 40,000 veterans will experience homelessness. The New Jersey Veteran Support Alliance is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization created to help stabilize the lives of struggling veterans and to amplify the voices of the numerous veteran charities throughout northern New Jersey so veterans receive maximum support.
We aim to empower our veterans with a range of choices for the support they need. When it comes to helping our veterans, we know there is no one-size-fits-all solution, and our volunteers take the time to listen to the courageous men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country.
It Takes a Village
The New Jersey Veteran Support Alliance is a devoted team of volunteers, comprised of both active duty military members and passionate civilians eager to improve the lives of our veterans.
We have the largest network of partnered medical and mental health professionals to help veterans obtain their hard-earned veteran benefits and cost-effective treatment. We never charge veterans for our support services. Some of our partnered health professionals do charge for their services. We utilize grant funding and donations from community members to help cover the cost for veterans that qualify.
While the majority of veterans seeking assistance with their VA claims through the New Jersey Veteran Service Alliance (NJVSA) have medical insurance, some do not. For those who are uninsured, the medical professionals we partner with often waive their fees. However, in order to gather comprehensive evidence for a VA claim, advanced testing and imaging may be necessary.
To address this issue, a portion of our fundraising efforts will be allocated to cover the costs of testing and imaging for veterans who lack insurance or cannot afford the copayment. Our commitment is to ensure that even the most vulnerable members of the veteran community receive the same high-quality evidence for their claims, without the burden of medical bills.

How We Help

Medical and Mental Health assistance
Sometimes the VA causes delays or fails to follow through, leaving you without the treatment you are entitled to. With our network of medical professionals, we help make the healing process as easy as possible utilizing local providers. In addition, for service connected injuries, they can provide you with documentation for future VA claims when applicable.

Transitional Housing Assistance
We provide critical support to veterans in need of stable housing by connecting them with transitional housing opportunities. We work closely with local agencies and housing providers to ensure a smooth transition to secure and independent living environments.

Enriching Community Experiences
Supporting our veterans’ unique challenges isn’t easy. Our ‘it takes a village’ approach means that individuals and families in need of help will feel supported all along their journey. We’re here to help you achieve a healthy lifestyle filled with connection and hope.
