Supporting and Empowering New Jersey Veterans
Supporting and Empowering New Jersey Veterans
How We Help
Medical and Mental Health Assistance
At the New Jersey Veteran Service Alliance (NJVSA), we recognize the challenges that veterans encounter when seeking medical treatment from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans often face prolonged wait times, inconvenient locations, and various other barriers.
To address these challenges, NJVSA has formed partnerships with multiple medical groups and mental health practitioners across New Jersey, enabling veterans to access the essential treatment they require. Additionally, for those pursuing disability claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs, our affiliated practitioners are equipped to provide supporting evidence for claims when applicable.
All of our partner organizations accept most major medical insurance plans. For veterans who are uninsured, we may offer assistance with treatment costs, subject to funding availability.

Our Process
Intake
One of our volunteers will gather some basic information about you and your service history. We’ll tell you about our programs and how they may help you. Following intake with a NJVSA representative, they will refer you to a local medical provider if appropriate.
Medical Review
The referred provider will conduct any required testing and treatment, collecting the necessary evidence of your disability. Our partners accept most major insurance plans and, for uninsured veterans, we have negotiated rates to keep this process affordable.
Claim Submission
Once all necessary evidence is collected, we can assist you in locating an accredited Veteran Service Officer, or you may choose to work with a Veteran Service Officer of your preference. We empower veterans to control the process, ensuring the choice is always yours.
Ongoing Support
After your claim has been processed our volunteers will continue to be available for ongoing support for both you and your family.
