Katie Salgado

LEW Environmental Services

Passionate about ensuring our veterans have stable, healthy homes. Katie Salgado is an accomplished Marketing Director for New Jersey’s leading environmental firm, LEW Environmental Services. She was critical to the roll-out of one of New Jersey’s largest lead paint compliance programs helping to ensure the health of children and families across the state.

Katie became a vocal and active advocate for addiction and recovery services after seeing the damage and despair addiction caused in her own family. She volunteers her marketing skills to one of the largest Buddhist recovery communities in New Jersey, The Noble Steps.

She has won several awards for her advocacy and has been a guest speaker at numerous recovery centers being a beacon of hope for families navigating the recovery process. During the COVID-19 pandemic Katie teamed up with recovery and self help authors to get free books into the hands of people across New Jersey. Thanks to her efforts, over 300 books were given out to individuals and recovery centers, helping ensure people had access to recovery even when we were isolated. She often volunteers at her local recovery drop in center and is dedicated to helping end the shame and stigma surrounding addiction.

Katie embraces innovative thinking with an inclusive approach to reimagine nonprofit communications with creative, sustainable marketing results. Katie has a Bachelors in Marketing from Rutgers University and continuously seeks out new learning experiences to enhance her marketing skills.  She is excited to bring her environmental knowledge to the New Jersey Veterans Support Alliance to help ensure that our veterans have healthy and stable housing.
