Businessman, philanthropist, and passionate veteran advocate, Ravi Varma is committed to giving back to the community he holds dear. Born in in Suva, Fiji, Mr. Varma embarked on his journey to the United States in 1995. Upon his arrival, he attended Chabot College in Hayward, California where his entrepreneurial skills and a love for community outreach bloomed.

Mr. Varma’s leadership and influence have been widely recognized over the years. In 2008, he was honored as the Most Distinguished Indian American of the Year by a New Jersey state senator, acknowledging his significant contributions to the community. In 2012, the North Bergen Reporter Newspaper named him one of the 50 Most Influential People of the Year in New Jersey. His efforts have also earned him numerous proclamations and citations from various cities across the state.

In 2019, the U.S. Army presented him with a plaque and certificate of appreciation, acknowledging his dedication and service after he selflessly supported our soldiers in the NJ National Guard by contributing to holiday events and family days across the state. Ravi’s advocacy and donations to the Mumbai leprosy program allowed multiple clinics to open doors throughout Mumbai, showing that even borders can’t contain Mr. Varma’s philanthropic efforts.

Mr. Varma is an accomplished entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio of real estate investments across New Jersey, including mixed-use developments, commercial properties, and residential buildings. He is the founder of the Fiji Group of Companies, which encompasses Fiji Food Stores, Fiji Laundromats, and Fiji Wine and Liquors. As the CEO of Ayush Diamonds, based in New York City, Mr. Varma oversees the wholesaling of loose diamonds, and the design of high- end diamond jewelry and luxury watch bezels. His business operations extend internationally, with offices in Mumbai and New York City.

Ravi Varma lives in North Bergen, New Jersey, with his wife and two sons Ayush Varma and Aarav Varma. His commitment to his community is evident in his proactive role on the city planning board of North Bergen, where he contributes to the town’s development and future growth. Mr. Varma remains focused on expanding his investments both domestically and internationally. He tirelessly seeks out new opportunities, ensuring that his businesses thrive and his contributions to the community endure. As a well-known and dedicated civilian supporter of our veterans, Ravi is excited to further his mission of improving the lives of veterans and their families.
