Thank You for Making “Smoke Signals” a Night to Remember

On July 22, 2025, the New Jersey Veteran Support Alliance (NJVSA) hosted its inaugural fundraising gala, Smoke Signals, and the outpouring of support from our community was nothing short of extraordinary. With over 400 attendees, including veterans, families, advocates, and dedicated medical professionals, the evening was a powerful testament to what we can achieve when we come together with a shared mission: No veteran left behind.

A Community United for Veterans

The success of Smoke Signals was not just measured in numbers. Its’ success was also in the connections made, the stories shared, and the collective commitment to ensuring veterans receive the care and support they deserve. We are deeply grateful to every sponsor, donor, volunteer, and guest who helped make this event possible. Your generosity directly fuels our programs, from transitional housing to expedited medical care, ensuring veterans in New Jersey have the resources they need to thrive.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the evening was seeing so many members of the medical community step up in solidarity with our cause. Special thanks to Allied Health Diagnostics and August Holistic Therapy for joining us and spreading a critical message: Veterans should not have to wait months for life-changing medical and mental health appointments.

Through NJVSA’s elite network of providers, veterans can access:

  • Same-week medical evaluations (instead of enduring long VA wait times)
  • Expedited mental health support for PTSD, anxiety, and depression
  • Holistic care options, including therapy and wellness programs

Everyone’s presence at Smoke Signals helped amplify this mission, ensuring more veterans know that fast, compassionate care is within reach.

To everyone who attended, sponsored, or supported Smoke Signals, Thank You. You’ve shown that New Jersey stands with its veterans, not just in words but in action.

What’s Next for NJVSA?

Because of the funds raised at Smoke Signals, we can grow our medical access programs that connects veterans with providers who prioritize timely care and recognize the difficulties of service related disorders. The support from our community also ensures that we can continue to host more of our free community-building events to combat veteran isolation and help families reconnect after deployment.

This is only the beginning. Together, we’re proving that when a community rallies behind its veterans, real change happens. Thank you for carrying the mission forward.
